INGROUND VINYL-LINER POOLS

Replacing the Liner Is Only Part of the Job.

A new liner transforms the way your pool looks. What matters just as much is what happens after the old liner comes out and before the new one goes in.

What’s Under the Liner Matters.

Older vinyl-liner pools can reveal conditions that were impossible to see while the pool was filled. The structure, walls, skimmer area, track, steps and pool bottom all need to be evaluated so necessary repairs can be addressed before installation of the new liner.

An Extreme Example — Not a Typical Liner Replacement The project shown below is an unusually severe example involving an older steel-wall vinyl-liner pool. It is not representative of what we expect to find on most liner replacements. Different pool construction—including polymer wall systems—can present its own unique conditions. In some older pools, hidden deterioration may not become apparent until the existing liner is removed, and occasionally the underlying structure may be deteriorated to the point where restoration is no longer practical or advisable.
AN ACTUAL PROJECT

Real Pool. Real Conditions. Real Transformation.

The photos below show the progression from exposed damage through repair and the finished pool.

Once the old liner is removed, the real condition of the pool can be evaluated.

Corrosion and deterioration around critical areas can require repair before the new liner goes in.

THE RESULT

THE RESULT

The finished pool is what you see. The preparation underneath is what makes the transformation possible.

The new liner is what you see. What happens before it goes in matters. Our approach is to identify the condition of the pool, address the work that needs attention, and prepare it properly for the custom-fit replacement liner.

That’s where experience matters—recognizing what you’re looking at, understanding what can be repaired, and knowing how to properly prepare the pool for its new liner.

Conditions We Look For

Every older vinyl-liner pool is different. Removing the old liner can expose issues that need to be considered before the replacement is installed.
