DRAIN • REMOVE • INSPECT | PHOENIX METRO & TUCSON

What Is DRI — And Why?

There is more than one way to move forward with your vinyl liner project. First, we need to understand the condition of the pool beneath the old liner. Our Drain, Remove, Inspect (DRI) process reveals and documents what needs attention. Then you decide how much of the repair and replacement work you want us to handle.

Inspect first. Then choose your path.

Three DRI choices: DRI, DRI Stage Two, and Complete Contract, shown on three placards
WHY THE INSPECTION COMES FIRST

Older Arizona pools are different.

Many Arizona inground vinyl-liner pools are 35 years old or more. Age and years of use can leave conditions hidden behind the old liner. A DRI lets us examine the pool before determining what must be repaired or prepared for the new liner.

  • Rusted or damaged wall panels
  • Worn liner track and deteriorated coping
  • Pool bottom damage, washouts or root intrusion
  • Steps, skimmers, returns and other fittings
  • Main-drain and lighting-assembly condition
ONE DRI PROCESS • THREE POSSIBLE OUTCOMES

One inspection. Three ways to proceed.

We review the inspection findings with you. From there, you decide how much of the repair and liner work you want Pacific Vinyl Liner Pools AZ to perform.

OUTCOME 1

DRI Only — Inspection & Report

Begin with a professional inspection and written report. You may choose to stop there or use the findings to decide your next steps.

  • Drain the pool
  • Properly remove and dispose of the old liner
  • Inspect walls, bottom, root intrusion, track, coping, steps, fittings, main drain, lighting and equipment
  • Photographs and a comprehensive written condition report

DRI is a separate paid service. It does not include measuring for a homeowner-purchased liner.

OUTCOME 2

DRI Stage Two & DIY Assistance

After evaluating the pool, we can help with the work you choose to have us perform.

  • Some or all of the necessary pool repairs
  • Following required repairs, professional installation of your homeowner-purchased liner

Homeowner-purchased liner measurements and manufacturing fit remain between the homeowner and liner supplier.

OUTCOME 3

Complete Turnkey Liner Replacement

Following the DRI evaluation, we review our findings with you and agree on the complete scope of work.

  • Necessary pool repairs
  • Professional on-site measurements
  • Liner selection and supply
  • Complete professional liner installation

Your DRI fee is credited toward the complete replacement contract.

FOR HOMEOWNERS CONSIDERING DIY

Already have a liner — or planning to buy one?

We work with homeowners who want to purchase their own liner or handle part of the project themselves. A DRI establishes the condition of the pool before any necessary repairs and liner installation are planned.

Your liner. Your choice.

After the inspection, you can hire us for selected pool repairs and, following necessary repairs, professional installation of your homeowner-purchased liner.

Clear responsibility for fit.

We do not measure for homeowner-purchased liners. Measurements, manufacturing specifications and liner-fit issues remain between the homeowner and their liner supplier.

Already drained your pool and removed the old liner? We can evaluate the exposed pool and prepare a written report with photographs. Equipment condition is also reviewed during DRI, with related repairs or upgrades available in conjunction with a liner project.
